October 5, 2011 . . . . . . . . . Visit to the Omaha Zoo
Here are a few snapshots from our field trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo
in Omaha, NE. We took this trip on October 5th. We saw many wonderful
creatures. We also enjoyed Godfather’s pizza for our lunch.
Pictures (1st and 2nd ones) show the children learning about the hide of a tiger.
He let them pet it…something we usually cannot do with a live tiger!
There was a container holding teeth, so we could also see what a tiger’s
teeth are like…

Here are some photos of our new classroom pet…we named him Oreo because he
looks like an Oreo cookie! He is a Panda Bear hamster and we love having
him in our classroom!
