Dear Father Arul,
Enclosed you will find a copy of a letter I recently received from Cardinal Dolan and Bishop Lori regarding the HHS Mandate. I send it to you, first of all, for your own information. If possible, I ask you to reproduce it and put it in your bulletins at the earliest possible date. Please continue to do everything possible to keep this issue before your people. It is important that they understand what is truly at stake.
Recently, I met with the Sister Servants of Mary, who are faced with the sad reality that if this mandate remains, they will have to close their health care facility in California. How can we permit a policy that would drive groups like the Sister Servants of Mary out of health care?
